Safety Protocols
We are thrilled to welcome you back to the VPP! Your safety is our top priority. There are some new measures in place as we
re-open, and we thank you in advance for your cooperation.
PLEASE NOTE: Patrons attending performances from September 22 onward are required to show proof of double-vaccination, as per provincial mandate.
For the purposes of case/contact/outbreak management, an individual is defined as fully immunized ≥14 days after receiving their second dose of a two-dose COVID- 19 vaccine series or their first dose of a one-dose COVID-19 vaccine series that is approved by Health Canada.
Vaccines approved by Health Canada are as follows:
- Pfizer-Biontech COVID-19 vaccine
- Moderna COVID-19 vaccine
- Janssen (Johnson and Johnson) COVID-19 vaccine
- AstraZeneca/COVISHIELD COVID-19 vaccine
Effective Wednesday, September 22, 2021, Victoria Hall patrons are required to be fully vaccinated/immunized against COVID-19.
All patrons who are eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine must provide valid photo ID (ex: driver’s license, passport, photo health card) and one of the following upon entry to personnel:
Proof of COVID-19 vaccine administration as per the following requirements:
Proof of all required doses of a COVID-19 vaccine approved by Health Canada; or,
Written proof of a medical reason, provided by a physician, that sets out:
That the person cannot be vaccinated against COVID-19; the medical reason; and the effective period for the medical reason (i.e., permanent or time- limited).Children 11 years of age and younger will be admitted without additional requirements with a fully vaccinated adult aged 18 or older.
Patrons who are not able to meet the criteria above will not be admitted, and the ticket will be refunded.
Providing Proof of Vaccination
All patrons of Victoria Hall must provide proof of vaccination The only acceptable proof of vaccination is the receipt provided by the Ministry of Health/Public Health, or equivalent out-of-province health body to the person who was vaccinated. Once vaccination status has been verified and documented, the record will not be retained by the facility.
Medical Exemption for COVID-19 Vaccination
Medical documentation must be provided by a physician for any patron who claims to have a medical reason for not being vaccinated.
Time Seatings
Air Filtration
The VPP is equipped with a new HVAC air filtration system to ensure we are all breathing the cleanest air possible.
Masks
All visitors and staff will be required to wear a mask that fully covers the nose, mouth and chin while moving about the lobby/theatre. Provincial regulations require masks to be worn during the performance, unless eating or drinking. Should you need to leave the theatre, please wear your mask.
Contact Tracing
Ticket Reservations
Much like a dinner reservation, you will check in with staff upon your arrival. Our team will have your reservation on file, and give your tickets in person.
Sanitization
Please use the hand sanitizer provided as you enter the theatre. Sanitizer can also be found at designated points throughout the building.
Cleaning
Enhanced cleaning measures have been put into place before throughout the VPP. Common contact surfaces and washrooms are regularly sanitized. Doors to washroom facilities and faucets have all been upgraded to hands-free.
Physical Distancing
Please remain physically distanced from patrons who are not in your party. Within the theatre, we will leave at least one empty seat between different parties within the same row. Groups travelling together will be seated together.
