About Petrolia

The Victoria Playhouse is a 400 seat, state of the art theatre housed in one of the most architecturally impressive buildings in the county. Originally a fire hall, municipal office, police hall, jail, and opera house, it was completed in 1889 for a total cost of $35,000. A fire in 1989 caused extensive damage so it was later restored and re-opened in 1992 to be the Playhouse we know and love today.
